Friday the 13th Celebrates 25 years...
Oct. 24th, 2005 07:07 am- Betsy Palmer only did the movie so she could buy a new car and thought the script was a piece of crap.
- The filming was racing against the clock as the trees at the camp were turning color. The movie was set in the Spring, but it was turning Autumn.
- The producers wanted Sally Field to play the surviving character and Estelle Parsons to play Mrs. Voorhees. Both declined.
I wish I could have taped it for the trivia facts. This was one of the first movies that really scared me. Okay, sue me, I'm a horror movie geek :D
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first film, it seems there was a get together of actors, directors and such. I caught this Yahoo! News story about the event. It seems there's also a book about the movie series as well and talk about one more sequel and plans to remake the original.
