Saturday Ramblings

The day started with mowing the yard and cleaning the house, in preparation for my mom's visit today. She's visiting her in-laws with her hubby. Apparently, this weekend, I am just the hotel. If I sound bitter, I guess I am a little. Jealous, I mean. She never comes up to see me specifically and that bugs me. Ah well.... I love her, so I'll keep my mouth shut.

I got my hair cut really short for my impending business trip to Canada and Italy. I leave next Saturday, it's hard to believe. I went and bought a scale to help monitor the old diet a bit, and then got an oil change.

I hate getting an oil change. They can't just change the oil and leave me be. They act like Am Way people, recommending a flush of this, use of this gas treatment, this higher grade oil, etc. Geez! Just change the damn oil to what I ask for and go away. I don't blame the guys really, they are only doing their job, but I would love to know how many people take them up on these recommendations.

Blah, blah, blah....

If it bothers you, you should say something to your mom. My mom sure complains often that I don't visit her enough.

I didn't hit the bear spots before, but it depends on how much free time I have. Remember, this trip is for work.

Eh, my mom gets hypersensitive to criticism, so it's best for all if I just bite my tongue.

Maybe then just suggest that she come up for a visit, without criticizing that she never does?

Eh, we see each other on my monthly trips to home. Mom's feelings get hurt way too easily.
