Movies, Housework and Yardwork

After work and a run, I joined Brian (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
cincycub) and his BF for a showing of "Bully" at the local arthouse theater. The documentary is an interesting chronicle of today's bullying issues in schools and I wont deny that it brought up a lot of memories for me. The one person in the movie who irritated me the most was the school principal, who lives in a f*cking dream world. She made a bully shake hands with the kid he's bullying and then chastised the bullied kid for not wanting to shake hands with him afterward. "He's sorry," she said to the bullied kid. No he wasn't lady, the bully played you and you were ignorant enough to buy it. She then tells the parents who saw video of their son being hit by another student while on the bus that the kids on that bus are "angels."
Saturday was morning house cleaning (which the house sorely needed) and then a trip to see "The Cabin in the Woods". I loved it. I wont give any of it away, but I thought it was an interesting mix of old school horror movies with some interesting twists. I can definitely see Joss Whedon's writing in this, a bit of humor here and a bit of conspiracy there.
Sunday was working out, laundry and yard work. Meh. Now that I've dug up my dandelion infestedflour flower (jeez did I really type that) bed, I need to figure out what to plant in it.
