kybearfuzz: (Grizzly)

According to my notes, I started writing this issue back in mid-July. I finished the lettering on the last page last Friday night. I admit that I've had a lot of fun with this issue, even spent a little extra time on some backgrounds, got a bit lazy on others. As some pages got done, I've shared a bit of it here and there without going into great detail on the plot.

So I hope you enjoy this issue, which includes a villain based on the very handsome ([livejournal.com profile] martini_tim).

Behind the cut below is 25 full-color comic pages, so it may take time to load them (it's about 15 MB of imagery). It's all work-safe.

That was great. Loved the way you framed all of the pages and the hot bears were just hot! The energy cannon seemed a bit naughty! :o) Great work!

LOL.. the energy cannon was supposed to be naughty I think. Note the sound effect and the "look" of the energy ball. How horny, er... clever.. of you to notice :D

Yay! I've been waiting for ages for this!

Brilliant. Though I must say that Polar's costume could be a bit skimpier. Just sayin'.

Loved it. I wish this could actually be published.

LOL... ages, huh? I admit that it's felt like a long time for me too.

Polar Bear originally had a much more.. um... open costume with long white Viking type hair. I figured that since he controlled the cold, he probably wasn't much bothered by it, but it was cumbersome to draw so I switched it to the current model. I posted a pic of it sometime back, but I'll have to dig it up.

And I did look into the publishing idea once and it really can be an expensive endeavor. Someday maybe :)

Hurray for villains!

LOL... I can see you cheering on the villian in this one particular issue!

Just imagine all the dirty little things you did the unconscious Bears before you hooked them up to your Game Station! I know I thought of a few :)

A lot of fun - love all the swash and buckle! Aside from the magnificently furry expanse of Grizzly's torso, the costume I like the most is that of Colour Cub. It's sleek and elegant; love the rainbow stripes echoing ribs plus the use of black and white, which works especially well accentuating the action sequences. BTW, does he speak with a British accent (color vs. colour) ?...that could be pretty devastating (anything you want sir, anything at all *grin*). Also like the subtle elements, like the blue outlines for speech balloons signaling villainy. All the special FX are great - love the evil bunnies getting theirs, encased in ice.
Thanks for all the fun !

Heh! Thanks Joe, I'm glad you like it :)

Colour Cub isn't British, he's Canadian (as is my buddy Jerry who is the real-life basis for the character).

I enjoyed giving the bunnies their just deserts. I think my only regret is that I couldn't make the time in the different game realities longer. The issue could have been much longer.

Awesome work Mark! I am amazed at what you do. I wish my students had half of your energy and enthusiasm.

On a totally unrelated note: Who are the other guys in the 4 seasons cycle. I know it's me, spring, Ken, winter. Summer and Fall are leaving me clueless.

Thanks Marty! I'm glad you liked it. And Tim always looks hot :)

Perhaps I should do an all-zombie issue. Maybe next Halloween.
