Animated: From Sketch to Finish

I did this over the weekend and forgot to post it. I was hoping to turn it into an animated icon for my journal here, but the frames didn't shrink well, so I'll have to do some retooling of it.


From Sketch to Finish

This is a drawing I did for an icon I'd planned to use for the comicbookbears group. It goes from sketch to ink to base colors to highlights and shadows to background finish. It's pretty rough, but I had fun doing it.

I'll redo it for an animated icon later.

I've been meaning to do something like this for a while, but it's a bit more laborous than the usual cartoon. I have save it various stages and it's not as linear as it looks.

I do want to try this with a Grizzly cartoon for some reason.
