Hey all,

I am contemplating buying a new vacuum cleaner. Having Murphy and Maggie shedding all over creation has all but killed my last one and it's on last legs anyway. I've been looking at several that are specific to pet cleaning, but don't want to spend $500 on a Dyson (it's a vacuum cleaner, not a iTouch for heaven's sake!) Have any of you found a good bagless vacuum that works well for you, especially if you have pets at home? Just curious.

You are absolutely right about it being a vacuum and not an iTouch, however, your vacuum should last much longer than that bit of technology. Consider it an investment to last you over the next ten years (minimum). I hear the Dyson is great for pet fur, but since it doesn't have a bag, you have to constantly clean the reservoir ... almost after every use. The opposing thumb is something with a bag that does have its suction reduced over time as the bad fills ... I suppose it's more the matter of convenience for your standpoint. Good luck with your decision ... either way, I fear the result will suck.
