I'm finally at work for the first time in nearly a week. It took a lot of effort to drag myself in here today, but so far so good. The coughing fits have almost stopped, which is a good sign.

During the last few days, I have been watching a lot of TV Land and Hallmark Channel, finding myself enthralled by, of all things, The Waltons. This show started just before I was born and I admit I found it too dull to watch as young kid. While chatting with a local friend, I brought this up yesterday. He laughed and said it couldn't compete with Little House on the Prairie. A fun discussion ensued after that. Though I watched Little House as a kid, I thought The Waltons was actually better written and more realistic. The whole town could burn down in Walnut Grove and everyone would be smiling at the end, where everyone on Walton's Mountain may be in bed that night, but the lesson wasn't always so rosy.

So being somewhat of a fan of 1970's TV, I created a poll for fun. It's behind the cut to save space. Commentary is always welcome :)

Bionic Woman *all* the way baby. Wonder Woman may be stronger but Jaime had way more personality!

I never cared much for MASH, but I had the serious hots for BJ Hunnicut during his 70's mustache years on the show. That stache was hot.

I loved all the Charlie's Angels years... but have to admit, the Tanya Roberts year was so horrible and campy it may actually be my favorite. They spent the whole year in Hawaii it seemed and... she wasn't a cop, she was a model, how can you beat that??? I loved the opening... Kelly and Kris in cop school learning cop things... and Julie Rogers learning to balance a book on her head. hehehehe

OMG! BJ had that hot mustache and was also quite furry, though I wish he'd been built more like Charles. I remember seeing a movie where David Ogden Stiers (Charles) was bearded and shirtless in bed with some bimbo played by Judith Light. Oh, quite a daddy bear he makes! :)

As for Charlie's Angels, I have to admit that I didn't like Tanya Roberts. When the broke the three former-cop rule, I lost interest. I missed Sabrina. The smartest of the three supposedly and the poor woman was stuck driving a Ford Pinto! :)

I have a friend who supposedly dated David Ogden Stiers... said he was as snooty and queeny in real life as on the show. I don't recall ever seeing him shirtless tho.

sigh... and the BJ stache... one of my earliest I want that man-stache memories, along with Burt Reynolds, Robert Redford (a red stache), and Perry King (a blonde stache!!!). OHHHH... and Lee Horsely. OH OH OH, and Lee Majors all stached and furry chested. sigh... I miss those 70s staches.

Oh I used to think Lee Horsely was smokin' hot. :)
