Weight Watchers Week One
Nov. 3rd, 2007 06:29 pmSo far so good. I can honestly say that keeping up with the program isn't that hard, though I find myself looking at the internet a bit too much for restaurant nutrional information. Ideally, this isn't a bad thing, it's something I should have been doing all along.
I have kept below the daily points all week with no trouble at all. So today I tried to figure out how to blow the extra points I would lose tomorrow morning. It was something of a chore really, trying to decide what to get. Holding on to them was a good idea as I accidentally misjudged the point value of a big chocolate chunk cookie today and went a lot farther than I had planned. Big oops...
For the WW crowd, how do you determine the point value for something you get at a restaurant where you cannot find the nutritional information for anywhere? Do you try to match it to something close to it or make your best guess?

Date: 2007-11-04 02:41 pm (UTC)Once or twice I have even called the restaurants headquarters to find things out. I had to do that with Wendy's to find out point values of dressings a few years ago before they started printing them on the packages.
Are you going to meetings? Or are you doing this on line?

Date: 2007-11-04 02:56 pm (UTC)I thought about contacting some restaurants, but I figure if they don't post them on the internet, they probably wouldn't give them to me. I've heard that Friday's, for example, is very secretive about most of their dishes and will only provide the ones they sell commercially in stores.
