Hmmm... that one is tough!

Going back, I would have to say the car wreck I had back in January 1994. I was leaving my sister's apartment and driving down an unfamiliar road. I thought I was on the main road and sped up only to find out that I was driving to a three way stop with no stop sign. With no road in front of me, I slammed on the breaks and tried to turn, ended up going down a 50 foot embankment and slamming into a concrete barrier next to a building.

I wasn't really hurt, just scared the crap out of me. The car was a lost cause (my first car). The ironic thing was that the building was an EMT service.

That was a very expensive lesson in my life, having to buy another car while still paying for the first one as I only had liability at the time.

Woah, a car accident! That's a good answer! Since you walked away unhurt and you did say you learned a lesson, I suppose it's not all bad.
