Weekend Shopping, CMC and Kate Clinton
Mar. 28th, 2011 07:33 amOn Saturday morning, I got a message online from
jeepdude_70 asking if I wanted to meet up at the outlet shops between Columbus and Cincinnati for a shopping trip. After months of chatting online, I jumped at the chance to meet him and blow a bit of my tax return.

He is a shopper indeed. He has a love of bow ties, argyle socks, and flannel shirts... and he got much of the three. He's also a shopping enabler. I bought a new pair of shoes and some argyle socks that I might have passed on if not for his evil shopping influence. If I didn't know better, I'd swear he worked for the outlet center. Obviously, I had a great time and I hope we can do it again sometime. And face it, he's adorable, right?
On Sunday, after a workout and shower, I made it to see the The Cincinnati Mens Chorus concert. The "Laugh Out Loud" concert with Kate Clinton was wonderful. Brian (
cincycub) looked great in his superhero boots singing "In These Shoes?" I asked him years ago why the chorus didn't just do a show with all funny songs. It was a great time. Kate Clinton was hilarious. She is so at ease in front of the crowd. I think it's one of the best they've put on.
So it's back to work today. What is it about a great weekend that makes Monday that much rougher?
