On Saturday morning, I got a message online from [livejournal.com profile] jeepdude_70 asking if I wanted to meet up at the outlet shops between Columbus and Cincinnati for a shopping trip. After months of chatting online, I jumped at the chance to meet him and blow a bit of my tax return.

JD The Shopper JD and Me

He is a shopper indeed. He has a love of bow ties, argyle socks, and flannel shirts... and he got much of the three. He's also a shopping enabler. I bought a new pair of shoes and some argyle socks that I might have passed on if not for his evil shopping influence. If I didn't know better, I'd swear he worked for the outlet center. Obviously, I had a great time and I hope we can do it again sometime. And face it, he's adorable, right?

On Sunday, after a workout and shower, I made it to see the The Cincinnati Mens Chorus concert. The "Laugh Out Loud" concert with Kate Clinton was wonderful. Brian ([livejournal.com profile] cincycub) looked great in his superhero boots singing "In These Shoes?" I asked him years ago why the chorus didn't just do a show with all funny songs. It was a great time. Kate Clinton was hilarious. She is so at ease in front of the crowd. I think it's one of the best they've put on.

So it's back to work today. What is it about a great weekend that makes Monday that much rougher?

I would have enjoyed the Laugh Out Loud concert. I'm a bit fan of Kate Clinton's! I'm glad you got to see Brian perform. Was the concert at The Aronof?

As far as [livejournal.com profile] jeepdude_70, you look very nice together:)

HUGS!

The concert was at the Freedom Center, which is the usual performance location for the chorus. Kate Clinton was wonderfully funny. I love how she delivers her lines like they're just the thought she had that moment.

And we do look nice together. I always look good next to the partnered guys it seems.

Everyone looks good with you are their side! :) I've played The Aronoff with Evita and Phantom and at holiday time, the Gay Mens Chorus was performing in the other theatre. It's why I asked.

Hugs!

Oh, I could have all kinds of fun reading innuendo into the last line of the first paragraph. The evil shopping enabler puts me in mind of Flip Wilson: The devil made me buy this dress! He'd have fit right into the show with KC.

Did I tell you how evil he is when it comes to shopping? I think he's getting a cut from the outlet mall for everything I bought.

To be fair, I did buy a lot of stuff I needed to get :)

jeepdude_70 is super cute. Yay for bow ties and argyle socks. I'm not keen on flannel, though. Meh.
