Texas Chainsaw Beginnings...

Running and running in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning
Horror movies are a sickness with me. Good or bad, I feel the need to see them. So today, after the gym and a shower, I went to see The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning.
The good thing is that the acting in this movie is actually decent, higher budgets tend to do that. Jordana Brewster does a good job as the main heroine. R. Lee Ermey is as vicious and annoying as usual.
The bad part is that there was nothing really new in it. In fact, if you saw the recent remake of the original, I felt like it was a pretty close rehash, only explaining how the one guy ended up in a wheelchair and the sheriff lost his front teeth, with a few other history building issues. It was quick, but kind of dull. Ultra gory actually. No happy endings, obviously, since it's a prequel, so you know how it ends up.
Update: I did see a preview for the upcoming Ghost Rider movie. I'm not sure if Nicholas Cage was the best choice, but the special effects look GREAT!
Did I enjoy the movie? Eh, it was so-so.
Would I watch it again? Nah.
Buy the DVD? No.
