Snow, Western KY, Long Drive, and Goody's
Mar. 20th, 2006 08:24 pmI've driven about seven hours today, which is very exhausting. Going that distance with a few hours of snow, sleet, and rain doesn't help. My first work assignment ended in about 90 minutes. Ironic that I drive five hours to Madisonville, KY, hometown of the ever-popular
prisonbitch, and work there for only a couple of hours. I drove another couple of hours to stay in Bowling Green, KY, because here I can get a hotel with internet access. My next work destination is about 40 minutes away, but it's literally in the middle of nowhere, so I'll just drive it daily.
Sadly, this hotel and the others around it will be innudated with several high school girls basketball teams on Wednesday, so the only room I could get was a smoking room. Ugh... I bought Febreze tonight and am hoping for the best. I'll give it another dose before bed.
Bowling Green has some nice shopping areas, movie theaters, restaurants, so it was a good choice, I think. I found a Goody's Clothing Store, which I love usually. However, clothing has turned ugly again with bizarre pastel color combinations that would make Don Johnson think twice. I did manage to find a few tee-shirts worthy of wearing to the bar, maybe even icon worthy...
( Tee-Shirt purchases behind the cut )
Not sure if this trip will be as photo-filled as the trip to Eastern KY, but we can hope...
