I've driven about seven hours today, which is very exhausting. Going that distance with a few hours of snow, sleet, and rain doesn't help. My first work assignment ended in about 90 minutes. Ironic that I drive five hours to Madisonville, KY, hometown of the ever-popular [livejournal.com profile] prisonbitch, and work there for only a couple of hours. I drove another couple of hours to stay in Bowling Green, KY, because here I can get a hotel with internet access. My next work destination is about 40 minutes away, but it's literally in the middle of nowhere, so I'll just drive it daily.

Sadly, this hotel and the others around it will be innudated with several high school girls basketball teams on Wednesday, so the only room I could get was a smoking room. Ugh... I bought Febreze tonight and am hoping for the best. I'll give it another dose before bed.

Bowling Green has some nice shopping areas, movie theaters, restaurants, so it was a good choice, I think. I found a Goody's Clothing Store, which I love usually. However, clothing has turned ugly again with bizarre pastel color combinations that would make Don Johnson think twice. I did manage to find a few tee-shirts worthy of wearing to the bar, maybe even icon worthy...

Nothing wrong with advertising, I guess ;D

Not necessarily true.. or is it???

Not sure if this trip will be as photo-filled as the trip to Eastern KY, but we can hope...

boo to getting stuck in a smoking room. Smart to bring the febreeze tho, I'd never have thought of that. Hopefully you'll be able to change to a non-smoking room at some point.

The Febreze seems to be working pretty well, though I know I've used half the bottle on the room. The hotel is pretty booked up for the rest of the week unfortunately :(

I'd keep trying, you never know if a room will open up unexpectedly.

By the way, your new "main" icon pic, arms crossed, head leaning on the arms, gorgeous smile... that is an EXCELLENT pic. Very very nice.

Recent addition to your "friend of" list here--just wanted to let you know you have a lurker ;-)

We have a common interest in film, horror, and fuzzy menz... plus I used to live in Cincy.

Hmmm working in the middle of nowhere, near bowling green... not Glasgow is it? or Tompkinsville?
This area of KY is not very photo worthy.. there is an old train depo that I like taking pictures at... esp. b/w.
Anyway... hope you enjoy the smoke filled areas, and ppl. spitting everywhere. 8-)

What kind of work do you do anyway?

Actually, I'm heading to Fountain Run, KY. Most people don't know where that city is located.

Bowling Green has a lot to offer, kind of an oasis in the sea of nothing....

...and I'm not blushing, but the light sometimes makes me more "red" than I am.... :)

Love the t-shirts. Sorry about the smoking room, I've been stuck in those before for work and I really hate them! Boo.

The two shirts I bought were some of the tamer ones, wchich is strange considering they were next to a table with tee-shirts about Jesus.

...and the smoking room isn't fun, but I'm coping...

You know what is the worst... when you get a non-smoker in a smoking room with a smoker. And the smoker says "I can't smell it." GAH! lol. I want to beat them about the face and neck.

But on the good side *whistles at you* Hubba hubba. :-)
