kybearfuzz: (lunatic)
I made it to the gym at 5 AM this morning and got my workout done for the day early. My office is very empty today and unfortunately my mind is wandering too much to do anything today. I have plenty to do, just no motivation. It's sunny and warm outside and I want to be in it.

The diet is going okay, no real stumbling blocks. My boss has shown me some very tasty snacks he gets, so I'll be heading to the grocery store tonight to get a few things.

My company for the weekend isn't showing up, so I'm home alone this holiday weekend, which isn't really disappointing. A few days in the house sounds really good and avoiding the traffic sounds even better. I may hit the movies, finally catching Kill Bill Vol 2.

Finally got out of the office. I decided to swing by the theatre and catch Shrek 2 again. I love that movie. PussNBoots is the best!

I went grocery shopping afterwards. It's getting a bit more difficult, looking for the low carb items. I ended up hitting two groceries for what I wanted. On the way back I got a low carb wrap from Subway. I was amazed how small this thing was, especially considering that I was famished. It was the size of a large twinkie. I'm sorry, but in this case, size did matter.

I got home and made my own wrap and was darn impressed with the results:

Two low carb onion-flavored wraps = 100 cal, 6 carbs
One large chicken breast cooked & diced = 120 cal, 0 carbs
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese = 110 cal, 1 carb
1/4 cup of diced tomatos = 25 cal, 4 carbs

End result was two large, delicious, overfilled wraps, 355 calories and 11 carbs, and I was full! Necessity must definitely be the mother of invention! One of the best parts of the diet is that it's forcing me to become a more creative cook and I'm liking it.
