kybearfuzz: (Comic Book Bears)

Friday after work, I swung down to the Levee to catch a matinee of Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. It was grand, I love the animation. The facial expressions by the characters are hilarious, even for Gromit who doesn't speak. I recommend watching the credits for a funny extra at the end.

Wallace & Gromit.. and rabbits!

Today was visiting a local comic book shop and drawing. The guy who owns the comic book shop is a creepy guy. I don't go to this store often, so he doesn't remember me. He always follows me around the shop, asking me if I need help finding anything and always curious at what comic books I'm buying or interested in. I just want to tell him, "The shop isn't that big, buddy, I think I can find things without an escort." I don't think he's interested or anything, just wanting to discuss comic books, which I generally don't do (for the most part). The "Superman vs the Hulk" debate has never interested me in the least. I try to be nice, but short with him, hoping he'll get the message. Eventually, he went off to do other things...

There was one guy there that I wish was interested. He had brown hair with a thick goatee, wore a sleeveless shirt that said "Pipefitters Local 562" (which I snickered at the sexual connotation I could add to it), had fur all the way up his arms, broad shoulders, and a nice rubbable tummy. Sigh...

I did pick up some good deals on some back issues of All-Star Squadron. I love Jerry Ordway's artwork, and the characters from the WW II area can't be seen anywhere else really.

A couple of friends and I are going to see "Wallace & Gromit" this afternoon. I'll probably mention it on LJ tomorrow.

I loved the movie, I think you will too.

... and not every comic book guy is creepy, the creepy ones just stand out more than everyone else ;)
