Rose is Rose: The side effects of haircuts

My hair grows at a very fast rate. In some ways, it's a good thing, for example, when the person who cut my hair was one of those folks who graduated from cosmetology school with a D average. I have had a few of those in the past. In some ways, it's not so great. In high school, when every other kid was growing the mullet, I was ending up with an afro. It was the 80's and my hair was ten years out of date. My hair doesn't grow long as much as it grows thick with odd curls. Mom always thought it was cute, but she was hardly unbiased.

After work, I was tired of trying to control the mop and went to get it cut. I felt like I was sheered like sheep, but it is what I asked for. It is awfully short, but I have to admit, I like the low upkeep.. and I can comb it. Still, like the "Rose is Rose" cartoon above, it does seem to make one's head look bigger.

buzzed...

Looks nice! I do the #2 guard buzz all over my head and have now for about 2 years.

I have the same affliction of fast growing hair and it's thick and wooly, although it's not excessivly curly, it does have waves to it and yes, I did have the big hair thang back in HS. But then that was the early 80's, well much of the 80's was about the big hair thang anyhow. :-)

Ah, the 80's were all about big hair, whether you had it or not! I'm convinced we destroyed the ozone layer that decade.
