Batman ... in the Beginning...

After being in a foul mood today, I decided that I needed to do something for me to lighten my spirits. I came straight home from work and took a lengthy nap so I could make the late night showing of Batman Begins.


Batman Begins

Overall, I was very impressed with the movie. It was full of action from start to finish and I think Christian Bale did a great job in the title role. I had my doubts when I heard he'd been cast. Katie Holmes was okay, but I loved seeing Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman in the film, and Gary Oldman looks just what a young Commissioner Gordon would look like, down to the big glasses. Even the audience was relatively quiet, so I could concentrate on enjoying the movie without interruptions I've come to almost expect.

It's now after 1 AM... I'm going to pay dearly for this tomorrow morning...

My co-worker, who saw it at the IMAX theater last night, said to run (don't walk) to the theater to see it. He said that the entire audience applauded at the end. Wow.

I couldn't get IMAX tickets but my boss and I just played hookey from work (LOL) and just came back to the office after seeing it now. WOW. The audience was captivated by the performances.
