My group crush

The presentation is over. Out of ten groups we were the last, sheer torture. It went alright, but I wasn't impressed. Still, we passed.

One of my group, "Farah," has a crush on me I think. She's Indian, about 10 years older, and married. It's been a bunch of little things. She wanted me to come up to her room to discuss the project this week, she begged for one of my cartoons I had drawn, she always wanted to go over things with me alone, she asked me to dinner last night, and she said, "Hello, handsome," to me this morning as a greeting.

Ugh! Never a problem I have had before I admit, but this was creepy. She's married and I don't go after women, but it's never a comfortable subject for me. I guess I'm still not terribly comfortable saying, "I'm gay," to strangers. That begs the question, how "out" am I? Any thoughts from the peanut gallery?

I love getting hit on by women for some reason, though I'm rarely aware of it happening.
The problem in your case is, she hasn't outright expressed interest, so if you told her that you're gay she could easily say, "Why are you telling me that?" and pretend she wasn't totally flirting with you.

I wonder if she masturbates while looking at the cartoon you gave her...

You, like all of us in homoland, are as "out" as we are comfortable with. It has everything to do with your personal space and how comfortable you are with letting strangers know your sexual preference.

As for this woman, well, her behaviour is just plain inappropriate and akin to a Legionnaire at a convention. You acted as you thought appropriate ... you extended courtesy and politeness to this overzealous person that she never once afforded you.

File her under "T" for the trash she is and dispose of in a manner you see fit.
