And the Painting Continues.

The guys came to paint the living room tonight. All the prep work is done and they were finally going to be putting the color on. I was up in my office upstairs when painter Pat hollered for me. I came down and saw Dave, the daddy otter, painting the edges. Pat was asking me about the color, wanting me to make sure it was the color he wanted.
I admit, I panicked a bit. I've got a terrible history of picking out colors that didn't work out right. So when Pat asked me this, I got worried. The color had a stronger yellow color than I expect when it is wet and I worried it would retain that color. I took a deep breath and realized that paint when it is wet is not the same as dry and the color would change.
Once they got a wall done, I was breathing easier. I liked it, though it's a bit greener than I expected. Still, it's not totally dry yet, so it will calm down. Overall, I like it.
Sadly, the guys couldn't get it done tonight, as they still need to do touch ups and paint the entry way. I was planning on taking tomorrow off so I could move my furniture back into the living room, but that's changed, so I'll be working from home instead.
Sigh... it's been a much longer process than I expected, not due to the painters, but the condition of the walls. Nothing can be simple, it seems.
