The Mad Drama of the Day
Jul. 7th, 2004 04:28 pmIt's been bizarro day here at the office. I'm desperately trying to get these reports done before Friday as I wont be back for two weeks. This is obviously a clue that I want all the company in the world in my office. I have a 52 yr old novice asking for advice (2 hours of my life I'll never get back). I'm acting supervisor, which means I'm here to sign leave slips .. and nothing else...
My office buddy is having trouble with the ex-wife. Apparently she took their ten-year-old son out of "day care" and left him at home alone while she was at work all day. She neglected to tell my buddy that she was doing any of this and told the son to lie to daddy if he called and say the lady down the street was watching him. Ugh! What a bitch she is! She does this deliberately to get his goat. I don't understand her, does she not realize that she's basically putting her child in danger! By some miracle, the kid is actually pretty together for now.
.. so ends our dramatic day of getting little done. Thankfully I'm acting boss only until Friday...
