Plan Shift

I was planning on hitting the suspension bridges today, but my buddy Jamie (another Bear411 chat pal) called and I'm meeting him for coffee this afternoon. As much as I like seeing the sights, I like meeting new friends better. It's overcast and cooler today, it looks as though it may rain. A good day for coffee and talking.
I called my office today and found out that the Italian firm I'm inspecting called to inquire about their holiday on the 29th. News to me, sadly, but I probably could have started the inspection early and maybe have gotten it done early. Dang! It's too late now, because I wouldn't get into Rome until Friday anyway and then in the afternoon only. It wouldn't garner me anytime. Oh well....

So I meant to ask earlier...since you work for the US gov't, why are you inspecting foreign firms?
