Finally in Vancouver

kybearfuzzI called Jerry this morning and left a message saying so long. He's such a nice guy, I wish he lived closer to me. I'll definitely post pics of him when I get home and you can all see how yummy he is.
The flight was... interesting. I watched the movie Miracle which was good. The guy that sat next to me was freaking me out. He was so tense, mainly because I think he was afraid of flying. When we took off, he grabbed his wife's hand and braced as though we were going to hit a mountain. During the flight, I offered him my brownie from lunch (low carb diet, remember?). He immediately looked at his wife as though he wasn't allowed to respond without permission. He then briefly freaked out himself when we started landing procedures. Every noise set him off and when the wings opened up to slow us, he closed his eyes, saying "Oh God, oh God," and looked like he could wretch any second. I felt sorry for him, but also wanted away from him (due to the fact I was in his wretching zone). Also, I think he's mentally challenged or something. Very strange, made for an interesting five hour flight.
Vancouver (or Richmond, specifically) has beautiful scenery and some great weather, and I've found an internet cafe in nearly walking distance (it's farther than I thought). Lots of seafood restaurants around, making me wish I ate seafood (I'll explain that someday). I'm near everything though, malls, grocery, bus lines. I'm feeling adventurous, so I'm eyeing Stanley Park tomorrow as a possibility.
