Last night I met a chat buddy of mine from Bear411 in Toronto. His name is Jerry. The best word to describe him is adorable. He's very handsome, very furry, and a great guy. He's 5'10", slimmer build, dark hair, and a thick dark beard.

We walked around the "gayborhood" again, like before, just checking out the sights and a comic book shop.

We went to dinner at a very large, old house that was converted into a very neat restaurant. It's a chain restaurant, but I can't recall the name. Apparently I may have inadvertantly been near another LJ'er in [livejournal.com profile] sweetjimmyto, who works there. Wish I had known that. Anyway, the food was excellent and so was the company. Jerry is a wonderful conversationalist. We talked about everything as I tried different local favorites and a steak that was to die for.

After dinner we went walking around downtown again to go see the CN tower, running into a few of Jerry's friends along the way. He's nearly as popular as [livejournal.com profile] jprtoronto. There is a guy named Joe who loves what you've done to the late night programming at your station, John, by the way. After buying some souvenirs and being very tired, we took at cab back to his street.

I had to get back to Brantford for work today, gave him a big bear hug and took several pics of him with the digital camera. He's so cute! ;) Got back late and up early, but it was worth it.

Work front -- inspection #1 complete! Leave for Vancouver on Friday!

PS -- working from library computer, so no quick responses, but I'll get to you, promise! ;)

I'll try to give you a holler tonight, okay? Just got your message today (Thursday).

Keg Mansion is wonderful, I love the atmosphere and the food was excellent. The server was this bubbly girl who talked about the food as though she was describing her favorite rock star. She was the best!

Not a problemo, was late last night anyway at a focus group with 11 year olds.

Talk later

I'm enjoying myself a great deal. I only wish I weren't working in Brantford. Not that it isn't a nice town, but all my friends are in Toronto and the drive is a bit much to keep going back and forth. I'm sorry I didn't respond to you sooner. I would have liked to have met you in person. I think this experience has made me want to revisit Toronto in the future though. :)

Vancouver!? Vancouver is my most favorite places to visit. I get there about 3 or 4 times a year. Plan on being there for their pride weekend.

Everyone has told me that Vancouver is a fantastic place to visit. It will literally be my first trip to the West Coast and my first view of the Pacific Ocean. I'm really looking forward to it.

I wish I were there for Pride. I'm sadly missing it everywhere I go.. and even missed Cincinnati Pride because my poor scheduling ability.

Ok, 1st ugly thing in Vancouver is the pan handlers, get past them the city is pretty darn nice.

Davies street is Gay street, Robson Street is shopping street (avoid Virgin Records, your feet will kill you). Their Sea Wall (side walk along the water front) is great, with the temps in the 80's this weekend, ton and tons of eye candy.

What? no Seattle? Well!?

Have a great trip out here

May I recommend some hiking in the mountains if you get the chance, as well as Stanley Park which is wonderful.

It'll depend on how much free time I get. I don't have a rental car there like I did here, darn it. I'm sure it'll be fun though.

Glad to know you made it to TO, Mark. Wish I were there to meet you, but here I am in Germany (where you were SUPPOSED to go!). Well, when I get back to Canada, I hope I can drive down to KY to meet you.

Hey Burly Bear!!!

I wish I were going to Germany, I'd rather go to a country I have never been too, as I was in Italy last year.

When you get home, I may just have to plan a trip back to Toronto sometime to meet you. I have so many friends here now. :D

Glad to hear you're having fun
