I had a very simple flight into Toronto. The rental car I got is a granny car, a maroon Crown Victoria. Not my choice, mind you, but it does handle well. I guess for all the grannies out there!

I met up with [livejournal.com profile] jprtoronto and [livejournal.com profile] scruffer who gave me the walking tour of Toronto, specifically the "gayborhood" as John put it. Incredible place, so many sights and one very muscular furball handing out cards for the leather bear ball on the streetcorner. Damn me for leaving my camera in the car!

After visits to the comic books store and the local coffee house (and seeing multiple guys in the gayborhood say "Hi" to [livejournal.com profile] jprtoronto cause he's so popular! ;), we settled in at John's place to watch Superstar USA. Scruffer Jamie was floored he hadn't seen this, but it was as bad, if not worse, than I told him. Along this time [livejournal.com profile] raphbearish and [livejournal.com profile] pickacub showed up and we took off for dinner.

Good dinner with some good company, especially nice hairy bear company. We were going to go to the Pegasus, but it was getting late for me. I still had a hour drive for the hotel and it was nearly nine. Not that I would have minded the full contact NTN that occurred. Maybe next time guys, still I had a ball. Brantford is good too, but doesn't really compare to Toronto. Back to work....

PS-- I was wrong when I thought Chronicles of Riddick was a prequel, its a sequel. Very good, saw it yesterday night. Lots of nice Vin Diesel bound shots... yum!

I happened on your journal via my friend jprtoronto ... we had not spoken before so I didn't think it appropriate to interrupt your dinner so I could come over to your table and drool (hey, I am a drummer so, I have that problem ...). I am glad you had a nice time at the restaurant (Keg Mansion) and I know my friend Allison took great care of you and your friend ... actually, I am quite surprised as to how many faces I recognize at the restaurant via LJ. I hope you had a nice time here in Toronto.

Oh nonsense, you should have stopped by. How often do you think I get recognized in a city I've never been in? ;)

Tell Allison that she is wonderful! She gushed about the food like most people describe their favorite movie star, and she was right! I'm having a good time in the Toronto area, only wish I were actually working in Toronto instead of Brantford, ON. I might then have gotten to meet you personally! :D
