Day Two on Low Carb
May. 25th, 2004 07:24 pmI haven't gotten any real cravings as yet. I guess the frustrating part is just figuring out what to eat. The food itself is pretty good, but to stare at the menu and count carbs in your head can be annoying. Figuring out three meals with only a 30 carb limit is rough.
Breakfast was a bacon sandwich on low carb bread, lunch was a grilled chicken caesar salad (yum!), and dinner was two cube steaks with cheese, low carb Cool Ranch Doritos, and two dill pickle spears. All and all, everything was really tasty. I think I can handle this.
I'm a little tired, been a rough day and I'm a bit brain fried from work. Heading to bed early, I think.

Date: 2004-05-28 08:14 am (UTC)I can relate to the wanting sweets for breakfast. I used to grab a bagel or a yummy glazed, blueberry cake donut for breakfast... no more :(
I think one thing that most people don't realize is that you are not stuck on this very restricted low carb phase forever. Once you get to the weight you want, you can increase carbs to maintain it, meaning I'll eventually have another of those delicious donuts someday, just not every morning.
Good luck, handsome, let me know how it goes. Hugs!!
