kybearfuzz: (Dreaming)

I was dreaming about an abandoned house in the middle of a series of mobile homes. I'm not sure why I was there, but I got the impression I somehow owned this house, maybe through inheritance.

On my way there, my car was in the shop so I was driving a rental that looked just like it. The car kept speeding up, faster and faster, and whenever I hit the breaks, nothing happened. It wasn't like the breaks weren't working, but the car was moving so fast that the breaks couldn't do much but slow it down a bit. Eventually I figured out to turn the car off and the car coasted to a stop. A cop pulled up behind me and was going to write me a ticket. I pled my case to him, asking him if hadn't seen the smoke coming off the wheels as I was trying to slow down and stop the car. He had seen it and let me off with a warning (I should have realized it was a dream).

Yet I didn't stop driving the car. I needed it to get to the house. As I was in the house again, looking around at the ruins of it, my car vanished. It was getting dark and I prepared to go, only to find it gone. I pulled my keys and hit the panic button, hoping the sound and lights would help me find the car. I went up to another car who lights were blinking. It wasn't my car. I then realized the keys in my hands weren't mine.

I was getting frustrated because I was trapped there. There were people nearby, living in what appeared to be a series of interlocking mobile homes. When I tried to get them to help me, they'd just stare at me strangely. Each time I left the house to get help, I'd lock the door, only to find the door unlocked when I returned.

Eventually, I guess I needed to change clothes, only to have them vanish as well. I found a pair of old-time underwear suits (the kind with the trap door in the back) and was putting it on when I encountered one of the locals just starring at me. Freaky and weird.

Then I woke up...

It's interesting that everything in the dream is on wheels:)

The portion of the dream where the car kept accelerating happened to me in real life. My accelerator got stuck on an interstate and I couldn't stop the car with my brakes. My dad was with me and told me to put the car in neutral and then turn it off. It worked.

Do you own a trap door onsie? :)

HUGS!

I'm always amazed at how much detail you can remember from your dreams. I so rarely do. If I do remember anything, it's usually an impression that I had a weird dream about bits and pieces.

You did forget the part where the cop let you off with a warning and then asked you if you wanted to see his baton..cue

I still recall dreams that I have had age 7, 11, 19, 28, etc.

And yes, your dreams are remarkably vivid.

I've had quite a few of those, too, myself.

You might be worried about losing things that you value- your dreams seem to be expressing this.

*BIG HUGS*
