Monday Off and Tuesday Delay

Yesterday, my office was closed for MLK Day. It was nice to sleep in. I got up, worked out, cleaned up, and met my pal Rob for a movie. He works at a nearby theater and got us free passes. We ended up watching "Devil's Due," about a newlywed couple who find themselves expecting a bundle of joy, but end up getting paranormal activity and a devilspawn. To make it even that much harder to watch, it was a "found footage" kind of flick.

I was entertained by how truly bad it was, but Rob wasn't a fan. His first words at the end of the movie was "Oh wow, that was awful." It certainly would be a good movie for heckling. For example, you'd really want to rip on the husband, as when something happens in the middle of the night, his first instinct is to grab the video camera instead of a baseball bat or his phone to call "911." Oh well...

This morning, I awoke to a couple of inches of snow outside. I really hate winter sometimes. Because I have a very important conference call (that I coordinated) today, I need to get to the office. I shoveled the drive and tried to get to work. The subdivision roads was covered and the interstate was a parking lot, so I just turned around and headed home. I'll try again later, or take the call from home.

When I used to have an unlimited cinema card and saw a film I thought was pants, at least it was only two hours of my life wasted!

Hope the snow (and traffic) clears. We've yet to have any this year.

Good you stayed home---I bet a lot of drivers don't respond well when the snow flies down there.
