Grizzly & The Bear Patrol 11
Jun. 9th, 2013 02:55 pmAh, a Sunday post!
This has been the quickest turn around on a comic I've ever had. I posted issue 10 back in mid-April, which means I got this done in about six weeks. It explains why my online (and offline) social presence has been a bit sparse. Once I started doing this three-issue arc, I've really enjoyed getting the story to go along. There is much shirtlessness in this issue.
Some of the extended Bear Patrol family characters appear in this issue, including Focus (
rootbeer1), Universal Jack (
qbear), Ricochet (
texwriterbear) and
mikiedoggie.

Questions/comments, I welcome them all. :)

- This is basically a "set-up" issue, I think. There isn't a lot of action, but a bit more plot. It's been quite a juggling act, coordinating three separate groups and their activities. Now let's see if I can bring them back together.
- The coloring of this issue took a bit more time. I'm not sure why, but I was happy with how it turned out.
- I wasn't sure how I'd feel bringing Anna, Polar Bear's daughter, into the superhero fray. Not being a bear, she doesn't fit the mold, but she is a member of the family. I have thought of doing a solo issue with her, but not sure this is the right audience for that.
- I originally wrote this issue with the character Dynamo included, but decided he'd had enough involvement in past issues, so I re-wrote it. I thought of adding others, but figured the ones involved were enough. It helps the story of going against great odds that they are a small group with myriad powers going up against a race of Grizzly types. And it helps me not having to draw so many heroes.
Questions/comments, I welcome them all. :)

I know it is a "Setting up the action" chapter, but it had plenty of action as far as I'm concerned!
The dance hall has been rented, the band is warming up, and:
I'm anxiously awaiting the concluding chapter!
