kybearfuzz: (Bitter Bitchie)

Few cartoon characters I've created bring me as much perverse pleasure as Bitchie Ann McSourpuss, my Goth-Spinster alter-ego. Far from pretty, lacking in all social graces, and brimming with more than a bit of bitter magic, she appears when I lament being single. So naturally, she appears on Valentine's Day more than most days of the year. If you want Bitchie's origin, it's in this long ago entry.

And I don't really lament being single, but I do hate the commercialism of this fake holiday reminding me of it at nearly every turn. My response to it is humor. Dark humor. Dark, twisted, bitter humor. It keeps me warm.

Bitchie Ann 2013
A touch of wicked truth to go with that serenade...

I did another Bitchie toon the other night but I didn't post it because after a 2nd look, it just wasn't right. I posted it behind the cut.

Bitchie Ann 2013 Unused

I titled this one, "Love Isn't the ONLY Thing in the Air..." I liked the idea at first, but the idea of an active Bitchie Ann just seemed wrong. She levitates above the ground because she's too f**king lazy to walk and she's going to skate? No, it's just isn't right.

Still, I love a good fart joke.

Very clever, Mark!

I agree-people don't need to be reminded that they are single just so that chocolate companies can make record sales. :P

She is propelled by her farts, as she is only pretending to skate:  She levitates, remember!  No walking, no skating, and no running!

Levitation likely makes slipping easier, but the resultant falling is painless.  Not bad!  Using an escalator might be a problem for her...

In the first comic, why is the guy holding a ghetto-blaster?  Is this one of those Cyrano things, that he needs someone else’s words?  If I were the young woman in question, I would wonder at the both of them, but give him my attention, as he seems the saner of the two.  :-)

LOL... the ghetto-blaster is a take on a 1980's John Cusack movie where he serenades a girl that way. :)
