A few weeks ago, I saw on Facebook a photo of a friend's home office and fell in love with it. There was something about the color, a bright, but deep green shade. For a bedroom it would be too much, a kitchen would be a bit overwhelming. For an office, with other lighter colors though, I thought it was perfect. Green is my favorite color and it inspires I think.

My home office has always needed a change. I painted it years ago a color called "wedding white." I wanted a grayish shade and ended up with something that had a hideous pinkish tint to when the light was right. Light that wasn't in place when I painted it originally. Admittedly, I should have known better. I was too tired to repaint it at the time, so I coped with it.

So after being inspired by the FB friend's home office and turning 40, I figured this was the equivalent of the start of a mid-life crisis woman getting a new hairdo. I went to Home Depot, got scoped out by the guy at the paint counter who is on Bear411, and found the color called "fresh apple." I started painting yesterday afternoon and finished the multiple coats of plain ultra-white and green apple on different walls around 1:30 AM this morning. This morning, after letting the pain dry overnight, I was incredibly happy with the result, even with some poor edging in areas. I spent all morning reassembling my office.

Now what to do next. Oh yeah... nap... :)

I think it's grand that you've found a project. You senior citizens need things to occupy your time; it forstalls the onset of Alzheimer's and keeps your joints moving.

LOL... If I'm a senior citizen, what would that make you? :D

Dearheart, Carbon Dating confirms that I pre-date several geological formations.

In natural light, it pops a lot. Under artificial light, the room glows a bit!
