Weekend Shopping and Recovery

As of Friday, my ankle felt a lot better. I'm still not at 100%, it gets a bit stiff in the morning, but at least my gait has reverted to normal. In trying to walk without putting pressure on my ankle, I looked like I was trying to dislodge a wedgie without my hands. I'm skipping running until after my work trip, even if my ankle is 100% in a few days.

My trip to England and Glasgow is looking good. I have two cameras already, but one is older and clunky and the other has been acting up with the shutter not opening sometimes. So with much advice from FB folks, I went out and bought a new camera Saturday -- a Canon Powershot SX260 HD. I'm still learning the bells and whistles it has, but I'm looking forward to seeing Scotland.

I'm happily off until Friday, so I have time to get things ready for the trip and get back home for Thanksgiving.

Last night, I was doodling a bit while watching "Family Guy" and started drawing the toon below. I liked it so much, I inked it and colored it.


A Hug with Grizzly

There are times I do wish he was real. A hug with that furry chest would be awesome.

It felt great to sleep in this morning. Happy Monday.

That is a good camera. I just suggested it to someone else a few weeks ago. My point and shoot is broken (I must stop dropping them!) so that camera is on my short list to replace it.

Have a good trip! I work tomorrow and Wednesday, have Thursday and Friday off and work Saturday. Still nice to get two days off in the middle of a week. Glad to hear the ankle is doing much better!
