I just got a call from my sister tonight. She immediately asked if my house was clean. Why? Because my mom and stepdad are coming up to stay the night tomorrow. How ironic is that? Here I take the last two days off and now I really need tomorrow off instead. Ugh!

They're not due until tomorrow afternoon, but I need to work close by in case she calls early. I'm going to have to rearrange my plans for tomorrow now. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled they are coming. My mom hasn't been to my house since last summer and my stepdad has never been here. Luckily I had plenty of time to clean house.

Now we'll see how savvy my stepdad is as I'm not sure Mom has told him that I play for the other team. Not that anything in the house is obvious, except for my original Leonard and Larry cartoon framed in my home office.

oh my god, you have an original Leonard and Larry?

I'll have to envy you now.

(And good music, too.)

Thanks, I shall bask in the glow of your envy. I won this framed and matted from eBay. Tim Barela autographed it to the seller Tim and his partner Rudy. I thought it was an awesome piece and it's one of my prized possessions. Here's a very bad pic of it I quickly took this morning before work. It's from Domesticity Isn't Pretty page 185. It even has white-out on it where Tim had to correct things.

How awesome.. Framed are of that calibre... I bow down in front of you... Are you still able to read them anywhere? I havent found any source since they were ditched from the online magazine they were on.

Thanks. I know the LeonardandLarry.com site is back up in a limited fashion for purchasing the books, but I think Tim Barela retired the strip until he can find another magazine to publish it. It's a wonderful cartoon, I wish someone would grab it up. In fact, I wish that Showtime would consider making an animated series from it. I think it would fit in well with shows like Queer As Folk, don't you think?

what an awesoem Idea. I think you should write to showtime or to Tim and have him pitch the idea.. maybe you could get a role... I would love to play the newer next door neighbor, the flamely bearish guy.. It would be such a stretch from who I really am.. Course they would probably want some one cuter than I to be in a tv show... I remember writing a made for TV movie pilot for a writing class in college and my professor thought it was so good she recommended I keep working on it, finish it and submit it to Lifetime television.. I never did... sorry for rambling and sorry it took so long to respond

I think a well placed "Hot Dicks" magazine will ensure he will pick up the vibe.

LOL! I guess a strategically-placed copy of 100% Beef or an old copy of Bear Magazine in the magazine rack in the bathroom may be able to accomplish the same thing. My stepdad is in his early 70's, I really don't want to push him over the edge. Surprise at his age isn't good.
