Monday Workout and Comic Book Stuff

Because I begged off my run on Sunday, I decided yesterday to pull double-duty, going for my usual run followed by a chest and back workout with abs. It didn't go so smoothly. The run was fine, even went a couple of extra laps on the track, but when I got to the chest and back workout, I barely made it past the halfway mark. I started off strong, but my energy level just plummeted and I couldn't finish. I should have backed off on the run a bit. Something to remember next time.

After a shower and some laundry, I plopped down on the couch for "RuPaul's Drag U." I'm in a drawing mood, so I'll leap into that this week. Issue 8 of "Grizzly & The Bear Patrol" has been plotted out and draft layouts are done. Now the drawing begins.

It's Pride this weekend in Cincinnati, so I might need to whip up a new cartoon to transfer to a tee-shirt to wear. My last one was an attention grabber. I made a copy of it for a friend who wore it to Chicago Pride this past weekend and he said he got a lot of good comments on it.

What to draw... what to draw... :)

Do you sell your t-shirts some place like Cafe Press?

I don't, but some friends have suggested I give that a try, so it's something to consider.

I used a tee-shirt transfer to make one to wear to our Pride parade here in Cincinnati and then just made a transfer to give to my friend who made his shirt from it.

Thanks. I might consider it. And yeah, the shirt in the pic is the one I made and the design I gave to my buddy at Chicago Pride. It's basically this cartoon and I Photoshopped the "Pride" wording on the side in the final transfer.

BTW, have you thought about taking pictures of your process as you go through the various stages of creating an image? ...I for one would be a big fan of seeing how the magic is done ! :0)

Actually, theoctothorpe has already suggested I do a 'meta'-post showing how the otters are done. So sometime before the summer is out I plan on putting together such a post.
