Venting on ... tactless co-workers

The bake sale is on at work. Lots of goodies were made, mostly of the sweetened variety. I've already watched the line for an hour, so my tour of duty is over there.

My old nemesis, The Foghorn, waddled her way into the line while I was there. While I was discussing some pricing and scheduling with my fellow committee members, she bellows, "Gee, Mark, your cupcakes aren't selling too well!" BITCH! My feelings aren't hurt in the least, there are tons of cupcakes and cookies here, a lot to choose from, but this hag made it a point to blurt this out while I was around friends.

It was a tad embarrassing, which makes me want to put her empty noggin in a headlock and pummel her. She should be thankful for my southern gentleman upbringing. I responded, "Doesn't bother me any, the more that are left over, the more I get to take home." She took a chocolate brownie, I hope she chokes on it.

If they knew you were gay, your cupcakes would be gone in a heartbeat. 'Cause everyone knows we can cook :) And dress, decorate, etc.

I thought it was great that you not only made cupcakes, but you figured out how to make them look attractive:) Most guys would just pick up some generic cookies at Kroger's, and you went to all that trouble. Go you! Down with rude foghorn woman!

Thanks Dani. I admit I've been guilty of the buying thing, but with enough notice I try to do better. Maybe I'll make the Foghorn a nice chocolate Ex-Lax cake or pie... :D

Nah! It was a good brownie (had one myself), darn it! If she needed the Heimlich though, I would vanish. You could hear me in next room, echoes of "Die, Bitch, Die!" ringing though the hallway... and there would be a patented End Zone victory dance. >=D
