I didn't do anything to celebrate Columbus Day, other than sleeping in. I went to Garden Ridge to look around. I haven't been there since they opened a few months ago. It's a bunch of home decor stuff, which is kinda cool, but some of it goes a bit weird obviously. I think of it as things that Peggy Bundy might buy.

Really Big Shoe Christmas Shopping

No, I didn't buy them. I am thinking I should get the dog painting for the twin for Christmas.

What annoys me the most are the Christmas displays ... I don't even want to think about that holiday until after Thanksgiving!

Oh and the Christmas decorations are out in force too. See the comment below!

Lucky you had the day off. Was a normal workday for me. I was thinking the same thing when I was at Garden Ridge this past weekend. We were looking at the multicolored Christmas trees and were wondering how tacky we could make our yard. LOL

LOL! I did see all the mutli-colored trees and I have to admit, I loved the purple one. The orange one was a little disturbing though.

I could make my yard so white-trash(ier) with that stuff :)

Admit it, you had that shoe (chair?) in your shopping cart before you decided to put it back. I like Garden Ridge, they have some fun stuff.

LOL.. in my tiny little house, that shoe would be too cumbersome!

They do have some fun stuff there, I admit. I love the cabinet shaped like a British phone box. :)

now you just need a Peg Bundy wig and tight pegged pants to go shopping in...

LOL... that just might be a good Halloween costume. A bit dated, but fun.

yikes... it's kind of painful to realize that went off the air prolly 20 years ago at this point. And never popular enough in reruns for most youngin's to even have a clue about the show nowadays

*old*

I know the feeling. I find myself watching "Married... with Children" at 5 AM when I'm getting ready for work. I imagine most teens have never seen it.

But that shoe would have been a FABULOUS prop for photography!! ;-)

That's very true! If you had studio where you could keep it :)

Hmmm... makes me think that either you get along with your twin famously - or absolutely do not! :0)

It tends to lean towards the "not" most of the time.
