Pride Night Weekend

It's been a very fun and busy weekend. Mike (mikiedoggie) and our buddy Bob from Indianapolis came to stay for the weekend here.

Friday was Pride Night at King's Island. For six hours, we rode every ride in the place and running into folks from all over. It's the best kind of night there, because there are no lines, so you quickly on and off rides. I even did the "Xtreme Skyflying" ride with Mike. I guess I can now say I've been in a sling with Mike.



Saturday we hit the downtown Cincinnati Beer Festival. I didn't drink much (I elected to grab Graeter's ice cream instead), but everyone else was trying different beers at different booths. After the festival, we grabbed some pizza to go and headed to our buddies' house for their monthly board game/video game party. After the party, we stopped by the Levee in Newport so Mikie could grab some night shots of the Cincinnati Skyline.

It was a great weekend, but I admit I'm wiped out.

OMG... Scifibear!!! yay!!! I miss Mike he's so off the grid now :(

looks like so much fun. I've been wanting to go for pride night there for years but it always is too close to decadence for me to pull off the trip. One of these years!

and wowsa... that Smiling Bob is a hottie!

I KNOW! We ran into him at the LaRosa's restaurant in the park. He is doing really well. And Smiling Bob is indeed a beautiful bear of a guy.

And you should plan for Pride Night next year, it really is a blast, though I can't say it's as much fun as Decadence ;)

well... since I'm leaning towards not doing decadence next year maybe a weekend away for Kings Island pride might be a good replacement :) I know my friends from Columbus have been trying to get me to go for quite a while!

I have to agree with the "giant car seat" comparison; all that's missing are the juice boxes.

Actually that was the fun of Pride Night, they relaxed the rules quite a bit. People were walking about with beers, the adult juice boxes :D

It was a great time!

And I met Tracy and his partner Rick at Pride Night a couple of years ago. They are a nice pair of bears. And Russ I met at a party in Columbus years back, I always get photos of him with his shirt open and happily he lets me unbutton it for the pics. :)

Even if the rides hadn't been a feature, the eye candy alone looks like it was worth the evening!

Bob attracts a lot of attention with dark, swarthy Portuguese looks and a smile that can make people faint.

And I think there are many folks who skip the rides and just come to socialize at Pride Night. The eye candy is wonderful.
