Grande Bears, Grand Dame, and the Boys

It's after midnight, so I'm going to wish a happy birthday to grande! The long line of guys who want to administer birthday spankings, please queue up behind me! ;)

It's been a busy day and a fun night.. here's one reason why:



I went to the gym and lifted weights for an hour, but was excited I was meeting friends for tonight's "Evening with Dame Edna." It was great, imagine three consecutive rows almost completely full of gay men. It was hilarious. Dame Edna doesn't seem to have a set script, just playing well on the audience. She sings a brilliant song about her gay son Kenny, which she is oblivous about. She just sang that she never dreamed she'd meet so "many friends of Kenny..." They even had it on tee-shirts. It made me forget about the bitchy lady in the polka-dot dress that was 10 years out of style who got miffed when I asked her to move so I could get to my seat after intermission. Well... almost. ;)

I went there with my friend Bill and his partner Patryk, met some of their friends from Detroit, including the hilarious Tom, who went out with us before. There were also a few new faces, pals of Bill's, who were nice to meet. Also met up with decibal there, who was sitting closer to the front.

After the show, we went to Hamburger Mary's for a really late dinner. Imagine a table of catty gay men flirting with the cute waiter and eyeing a table of muscle hunks. It was too funny, but you could tell we were winding down. The food was good and the waiter was very accomodating. I even saw a very cute bear in a suit while there. I will definitely have to go back there sometime.

Now I'm home and very tired. It's time to sleep long and hard for the night. Tomorrow.. clean the house :(
