So two days after the deer crash, I'm driving my rental car and it still feels weird. It's strange all of the things I think about doing now. I think, "I can't shop at Ikea because I might scratch the rental." That and other things. I'll be driving the rental until next week it seems, though my insurance has already approved the repairs. So now, it's just a matter of when the garage can get finished with my car. Sigh.. my car... I miss it.

I had a conference call yesterday afternoon. While listening to the discussion, I started drawing again. I got fairly far with it, all things considered. It's not finished because the meeting ended and I had to leave. I think I'm finally getting back into a drawing mood. It's a good thing.

Can't wait to see the story take shape through your wonderful drawings!

I guess I missed the post about your encounter with a deer. Many years ago, in a blizzard in upstate NY, a huge buck smashed and landed on our windshield, took the car out. Dad managed to flag down a car and get to a tow truck, but mom, my brother Jeff who was a baby, and my sister Colleen had to bundle up in the car and wait a couple of hours in the freezing cold with the deer's eyes staring at us. Such a vivid memory!

Glad to know you are okay.

HUGS!

Not sure this is a story I'll draw out or not, just an image that flashed into my head. I need to work on facial expressions more and so I thought I'd try "frightened surprise."

And thanks for the well-wishes. If the doe had crahsed the windshield, I'd have lost it.

Hugs!
