kybearfuzz: (Dreaming)

All of my dreams seem to come from odd places, this one was among the strangest, but it was oddly pleasant.

I was in my old bedroom in my parents' house with my oldest nephew Chris when there was a pecking at the window. I raised the window and there was one of my coworkers there with a friend. I'll call her "Marissa." Marissa is a large, lazy woman in my office, a clerk who never does her work as evident by the large stacks of it that are piled up around her desk as she spends all her time surfing the web and talking to her girlfriends on the phone. Marissa and her friend have been slighted by another woman and she has come to be to help plot her revenge. As I'm trying to give her the "let it go" speech, a group of five 20-something seem walk up behind them.

After I finally get Marissa to leave, the five of the come through the window and say they've been sent there by "Daddy." After they describe him, Daddy refers to one of the dark-haired daddy bears I've met at the bars. When I ask why they came to me, they offer me a DVD that will explain it all. The five of them, two beautiful ladies and three clean-shaven guys, all cute but not really my type, are a performing group called "V." I pull open one of my laptops (in the dream I have several) and pop in the DVD. The DVD is of them performing at different venues. They sing, they dance, they wear odd costumes. One of the guys in one video is wearing a pink pleather cowboy outfit, consisting of chaps with fringe, a vest, gloves and hat with no shirt. No fur on him either, but we wont judge him too harshly.

In the video I remember a reference that one of the girls was going to her country proud. I suspect most of the members of the group were from outside the US, but none of them seemed to have accents.

I kept calling the group "V," but now realize they were "Five." No one in the dream ever corrected me. Though they never come out and say it, I believe they've been sent there for me to do some promotional artwork for their gig at the bar where Daddy hangs out. I never dreamed about doing that part of it though. We were sitting inside someone else's home later. There were a lot of other people I don't recall, but at this point we had made some promotional materials. One of the guys was named "Mike Hunt" and had decided he wanted to go by "Alan Hunt" instead. So we had to redo the materials, but none of us seemed upset by this. I then woke up.

Ironically, I went to college with a "Mike Hunt" who was in an acappella singing group. It was funny because of the Porky's reference. I'm guessing this is why Mike wanted to go by Alan. I do wish there were some bears in the dream, maybe next time.

Interesting and odd dream, but why are you up and writing soooo early on a Saturday morning on a holiday weekend?

Beats me. It was such a vivid dream, I wanted to get it down before I forgot the details. And then I stayed up.

Do you keep a Dream Journal? I often have very vivid and sometimes quite spectacular dreams, and if I wake up and write down just a few key phrases about what the dream was about, I'll remember it much better later in the day. Dream Journals are a lot of fun.

I don't keep a dream journal, but I sometimes will jot down some quick notes if I can't log it down here right away.

You never post anything about your dreams here though, do you?

There have been a few occasions that I've posted about particularly weird dreams. I need to keep a small notepad near the bed so I can jot down a few quick notes. My dreams can be quite entertaining. I feel sorry for people who say they don't dream or don't remember anything about their dreams.
