A Weekend Back Home

I drove down to my hometown of Corbin, KY on Saturday. It had been a couple of months since my last trek southward, so I figured it was time.
After a gourmet meal at Taco Bell, we hit the flea market, then Wal-Mart for odds and ends. Mom needed yarn, I needed picture frames. We both found what we were looking for I think. While in Wal-Mart checking out, Mom blurts out"
"Where did all these big boobs comes from? Is everyone having that done?"
I think she may have asked this because of one particularly busty customer that had just walked past us. Saying it in a crowded check-out line, well, I think Mom's filters are starting to fray.
After the shopping, we went over to the twin's house to see them. I swam a bit in their pool with my nephew. After years of being the fat kid in the family, I'm happy to announce that the twin and I can wear the same size in swimming trunks. Granted, I've come down in weight, but I know the twin has gone up. Heh! This makes me giggle a bit.
With Mom taken home, I ventured to my sister's for dinner and chat before hitting the bed. The next morning was up and out for the drive home. Not a bad visit, certainly not what I was dreading.
Happy Monday, y'all...
