Chuck Kirby, Space Trucker

It was a short day at the office for me yesterday. I had a dental appointment that morning and went in late. With all the phone calls and meetings, the day went fast. During the meeting I started a sketch, just the bearded face of a bear in a ball cap, followed by him holding a gun of some sort.

The sketch made it home and I played with it a bit while watching a movie from Netflix. I'm not sure where the alien came from or her many attributes, but it just seemed fun and goofy.

I called him Chuck Kirby. The space trucker is fighting against a vicious, tri-breasted alien on board his cargo ship. He doesn't look very worried, maybe the alien is like finding a rat or other vermin on the truck. Click for a larger image.

Thanks! It's something I played with when I was doing the "Bear Seasons" series. In Art Nouveau, it seems like the art had a dark outline around the main character to set him/her apart.

When I was drawing this, I thought Chuck and the alien blended in too much with the background, so the thicker lines made them stand out more.
