It was good to take last Friday off. I spent a lot of the day working on the next comic installment, finishing up Saturday night. I'm a bit surprised I got it finished so quickly to be honest. I blame "Project Runway," as watching it on DVD lets me spend three hours in front of the TV and be entertained enough to draw.

For those new to my friends' list, here is first issue.

We left the last installment with heroes Polar Bear and Red Beard appearing to the others after an apparent fight with our 70's retro villain Spicy Floral. For those who want to recap, here is part one of the second issue. Part two is behind the cut due to size of the pages and to spare the uninterested.

This is, to steal a phrase, groovy!

And though I hate to admit it, I remember those fashions.
Bell bottoms.
Hip huggers.
High heel sneakers.

What the fuck were we thinking???

I'm innocent when it comes to the fashion choices of the decade. I was six when it ended and had no choice but to wear what my mom bought me.

I admit I look through my older brothers' yearbooks and love laughing at the "Best Dressed" superlatives.

As a young man in the 1970's, I'm kind of rooting for Retro Grizzly! LOL! Well-done, Sir!

HUGS!

Are you rooting for Retro Grizzly, or just the pants? Admit it, you want them...

Hugs :)

I especially appreciate the shirtlessness. Call me shallow.

I'm glad you're enjoying it!

There was a lot of discussion about what "Retro Grizzly" should look like. I wanted him in a vest with no shirt, but that was more 60's and I wanted a 70's look.

The shirtlessness on page 11 was thrown in to make up for the lack of it on page 13 :)

And I certainly do appreciate page 11. Oh yes indeed.
