Friday Questions About the Boob Tube

The funk is lingering, but much better I think. It's amazing how a drastic change in the weather can drastically change a mood. So here's some questions to pass the day away:
- What is your favorite reality show and why do you like it?
- Which American TV family would you visit: the Patridge Family, the Brady Bunch, or the Addams Family?
- What famous star deserves a hit televisions series, assuming he or she hasn't had one (maybe they've had a show, but it didn't last)?
- You win one night with a famous celebrity, one who will do anything (and I mean ANYTHING) you ask. Who is it?
- What three dead celebrities would you magically bring back (in a non-zombie way)?
- What movie have you seen recently (at home or in the theaters) would you love to see become a TV series?
- What reality show has overstayed its welcome?
- What television series has overstayed its welcome?
- Who would you say was the best "magical" lead, Jeanie (I Dream of Jeanie), Samantha (Bewitched), Nanny (Nanny and the Professor), Sabrina (Sabrina the Teenage Witch), or any other?
- Who is the best TV animal, Salem Saberhagen (Sabrina the Teenage Witch), Mr. Ed, Buck (Married with Children), Duke (The Beverly Hillbillies), or other?

Date: 2009-10-17 03:08 pm (UTC)2: Oh, that's almost TOO easy. The Addams Family, natch. I adore them. They're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky.
3: I've always rather admired Andie McDowell. I think she would do well in the right sitcom.
4: "Famous" is a rather subjective term, but if it had to be someone really famous ... James Gandolfini might be a good choice to go a roll in the hay with.
5: There are all sort of deceased celebrities that I wish we could have back. Paul Lynde was a very funny guy who had a tragically short life. Bob Keeshan ("Capt. Kangaroo") was a hero to kids of my generation. Gilda Radner and Madeline Khan, both extremely funny ladies who were claimed too soon by ovarian cancer. The list goes on and on.
6: District 9 could actually be expanded into a TV series with the right producers. In the wrong hands it could just be a knockoff of Alien Nation.
7: Just about every reality show on MTV has overstayed its welcome. Hell, MTV has overstayed its welcome.
8: There aren't really any big network TV shows that I follow on any kind of regular basis now that Battlestar Galactica is gone. I know Lost has its stubborn fan base, but REALLY, don't you think the producers are milking it for all it's worth?
9: There was something endearingly goofy about Jeannie that can still make me laugh. I know Endora (Agnes Moorehead) wasn't the lead on Bewitched, but she often stole the show.
10: FLIPPER!
