Weirdness of the Day
Jan. 26th, 2004 04:07 pmI got up this morning at my usual hour and took one look outside the window and said, "No." I called my office and found out that we were on liberal leave if we wanted. I had an orthodontist appoint this afternoon, so I saw no reason to go in late only to leave early. So.. day off!
I actually hated waking up as I was having a wonderfully bizarre dream. I dreamt I had inheirited my grandmother's enormous mansion (which she never had) and I was having friends over to see it and spend the night. Strangely,
decibal was there and brought this really cute cub guy with him. This guy was a pocket cub, short and furry with reddish blond hair. They apparently weren't together because me and the cub paired up on the couch watching a movie and much cuddling was involved. The oddness was that I was finding odd rooms in the house that seemed to never end and
decibal was staying in the room next to my late grandmother's room, which was apparently haunted. He complained about the banging noises in the room, which was empty. The cub and I were cuddling heavily on the couch again when I woke up.. dang!
My waking day was almost as odd. After noon, I left to pay my car tags at the county clerk's office, went to the comic book store, visited my orthodontist, and went grocery shopping. While checking out, a man stood at the bagger station and kept staring at me. He then talked to me like he knew me. He kept swearing that I looked IDENTICAL to his step-son Patrick. My size, hair color, glasses, goatee were all supposedly the same. I've gotten this sort of thing before as I look like my brother's neighbor, but usually people peg me as his younger brother. This guy kept on and on and it was unnerving. I kept smiling and giving him some idle chit-chat until the clerk gave me my receipt. I even helped bag to get away from this guy faster. Bizarre enough.. and it's only a little after 4 PM.
