Meeting Miguel and Jeff

Yesterday, I got a message from Miguel (guinnesscub) that he and non-LJ'er Jeff were heading to the Cincinnati airport. He asked if I wanted to swing over and have a drink since his flight was delayed. So having all the vacation time I have, I cut out of here like a sailor on shore leave.

On the way down, Miguel called to tell me he and Jeff were going to the Creation Museum, a place I loathe and despise for its facade of an educational experience based on religion and mocking scientific facts. We only went as far as the bookstore and didn't pay to get in to the place. We then went for coffee.

The highlight of course is finally getting to meet the guys in person, especially since I've been drawing Miguel as the superhero Echo in the Bear Patrol comic, so now I've met the real thing. I snapped a few photos with the iPhone:

I guess I just hate the blatant untruths they throw out to be facts, talking about how science is wrong and God is "testing us" unless science supports something they want people to believe it.

As a science major, I find it highly offensive. :)

it's quite offensive even for a layman

but it's not science they believe is wrong, it's the conclusions that heathen godless scientists arrive at that are wrong. Once scientific data is properly filtered through the bible, then and only then can the correct conclusions be drawn. Oh, and God Hates Fags. That seems to be their only other belief.
