Today is day two after the softball tumble and I've always believe that it takes two days for the soreness to really set in. And I still believe that is true after crawling out of bed this morning. My bruises are always vividly colored after a day or so. I posted a pic of the bruise behind the cut along with a clothed point to where it is (yeah, it's in a.. well.. near-naughty place).

Colorful Boo Boo!
Those hits really hurt

I did run three miles today. That helped work some of the soreness out. It sounds strange, but it's true that the activity helps stretch out those muscles again. Chipotle for lunch (sooo goooooood) and then a trip to the barber for a buzz. The lady who cut my hair was fun -- BRIGHT green eyeshadow, very bubbly, and everything was "awesome." I tipped her well and then saw the bright green VW bug in the parking lot that just had to be hers.

Happy Green Shirt Thursday guys and gals. Be safe if you're traveling for the holidays!

I spy furrrrrrr.

That's a raspberry, alright! Been there, had that.

One time I strained both legs full-quads sprinting to first base. As my brother (the physical therapist) said...You have these big slow-twitch muscles from cycling, and you ask them to quick fire...it's like having a car with a big engine that snaps it's axel when you stomp on the gas. Both thighs were swollen and purple (fading to my very own pride flag of rainbow-hued colour) over two weeks.

I don't do softball. I always end up hurt.
