Introducing Ricochet
Jan. 13th, 2009 01:59 pmA few weeks ago, I made this post about someone to be nominated for superhero-dom. Comments from that post and the following post made Sean (
texwriterbear) the running favorite. So after consulting with Sean online regarding powers, names, and costume colors (because face it dahhlings, it's all about the fashion), I came up with the following cartoon. Due to the image size, it's behind the cut.

texwriterbear A.K.A. Ricochet
Ricochet has a power over kinetic energy. He can generate and throw a sphere of solid force (notice I didn't say ball) that absorbs kinetic energy as it rebounds against other objects. He can mentally control the sphere to allow it to stay solid and continue to absorb energy (to knock down opponents for example) or allow it to become explosive and release the energy on a final hit (to destroy objects as concussive force). He can release multiple spheres at once, but his control over the spheres diminishes when more than one is active.
Ricochet can also absorb the kinetic energy from a returning sphere and convert it into physical power -- superhuman strength, speed or endurance.
Obviously, I incorporated Sean's love of softball in this. The midnight blue and forest green works well together too I think (Sean's favorite colors).
If you're really nice to Sean, or if you want to send me money to bribe it out of me, you might find out this character's previous possible code-name I was considering. *wicked grin*
