kybearfuzz: (Dreaming)

The fuel for this dream was a combination of my mother's usual flood of bad news, KFC, and a Guinness before bed. Annnnnnd... go...

I was living in an apartment complex, across the hall from three very noisy college students, one cute and the others unremarkable, and, in another apartment, a guy I've dated in the past who dumped me. Former date guy was always having trouble with the college students as they played their stereos or televisions too loud and were having parties. I'd see him out there arguing with them, but I'd just go inside my own apartment and let them have at it. Being dumped by him had negated any support I was going to give him and he's a grown man, so he can handle things by himself. When the police would show up from his complaint, the college students would play stupid and say they didn't know anything about the noise and that the guy was just out to get them.

One night there was supposed to be a special supernatural X-Files movie on. The three college students were over in my apartment to watch it. We were waiting for it to come on and was watching TV on an old set. In another room, I had a brand new flat screen. One of the college guys said that we should watch it on that TV and I agreed and said we could move the new set in the living room, but we had to move the entertainment center with it. Instead of moving them separately, the three college students had hoisted the whole thing and dragged it into the living room.

While I was unplugging the old set, the three of them started hammering nails into the back of the new entertainment center, big carpenter nails. I looked around the back and two of them was still hammering and the third was just laying against the unit as one of the other two had driven nails into his back! Large nails were just sticking out of the back of his white baseball jersey shirt, blood dripping down them. The other two just would not stop hammering.

So I grabbed a small axe from the tool box where they'd gotten their hammers and shook it at them screaming for them to stop hammering or else! They stopped, the one college student who was hurt just slid to the floor. I told them to stay put as I was calling 911.

At the prospect of the police showing up, they tried to scatter. One made it out of the apartment. The other, the cute one, I managed to block from leaving, telling him that he had to stay as he was going to explain to the cops how this happened. When he tried to push past me, I grabbed his head and slammed it into the wall and threw him back to the carpet. The injured college student himself was dragging himself by his arms, trying to leave. I grabbed his legs, that no longer seemed to work, and pulled him back, explaining that he needed medical attention.

When I got the 911 operator on the phone, it seems that my mother had tried to call and we ended up with a three-way connection. As I was trying to tell the operator what had happened, my mother started to freak out.

"Oh Lord, are you hurt? What happened? Why are you calling 911? Should I come over there? What is this about a hammer? I've told you to keep those tools put away. You're bleeding aren't you?"

All of this while I was trying to converse with the 911 operator to give her my address and explain the situation. Finally, I yelled for Mom to hang up the phone and I'd call her later. I head-banged the cute college student again as he tried to slip past me.

As I was relating the story to the 911 operator... I finally woke up...

So maybe the KFC and Guinness combination were not a good thing. Wow that was some dream.
Here's to hoping you sleep better tonight with visions of furry bears dancing through your head!!!
Hugs!
