The Last of the Christmas Weekends 2008

Whew! It was a busy weekend. Friday, my office had our annual holiday party this year offsite, of which I was one of the main planners. As Brian (cincycub) can tell you, I lack the party planning gene. The photo to the left is me standing on a chair at the party making announcements. When some of my female cohorts told me to dance, I shook the moneymaker and reached for one of the support poles. One of the restaurant servers then stuck a dollar in my jeans. It is nice to know I have a backup career if I need it, especially in this economy. The party went off happily without problems.

Saturday I went to see the Cincinnati Men's Chorus perform their Christmas concert, "Naughty and Nice." As always, it was a great show! Brian and I caught a very late dinner at Shanghai Mama's and I stopped by the Serpent for a beer on the way home and caught up a bit with thrd_uncle.

Yesterday was laundry and present wrapping, the boredom broken by a call from a very handsome 411 chat buddy from Conneticut who was visiting his parents in Cincinnati. So I drove to the Levee to have a beer with him and his stunningly attractive partner. I so wish I could grow a beard like his! And darn if I didn't leave my camera at home...

Heading to my hometown tomorrow for the holidays. In case I don't post beforehand, I hope everyone has a very safe and Merry Christmas! Stay warm!

Glad to hear your party went well. So was it a male or female server that stuck a dollar in your pants? Usually the dancer gives the tipper a kiss as a "thank you" (so I hear). Did you thank your server?

Heh! That is just about what it turned into. I was announcing when the food was coming, what games we would be playing, etc.

Oh, I just now saw the dollar bill there. Only $1? I would have given you at least a $5..., and you probably would not have been able to see it in a picture. ;)
